Joining the NPA

Please consider becoming a formal member of the NPA, the world's largest organized group of truly open-minded leading-edge scholars in physics and cosmology. Our primary function is to enable critics of the numerous invalid and inadequate current doctrines in these fields to get in touch with others having similar interests--the better to perfect and promote the new ideas needed to make real progress after a century of confusion.

To this purpose we publish a thorough Directory-Bibliography of dissident scholars in these fields, including both current (over 160) and former members. Here we list not only the name, address, and telecommunications data of each member, but also selected bibliographies, including both published and unpublished writings. Also included are lists of prominent non-members, of tolerant journals--five deal entirely with dissident physics and cosmology, and others sometimes print such material--and of especially important books. A revised edition appears ca. every 16 months, with supplements in between.

We also foster communication by maintaining an active program of meetings, one to three per year. Fifteen major meetings and several minor ones have been held in various parts of the U.S. and Canada from 1994 through 2008. About 25% of our members live outside North America; a few of these attend our meetings over here, and still others send in absentia papers. Also, some NPA members attend the similar meetings that have often been held in Europe, ever since the late 1980s--and at times they comprise more than half the authors speaking at such meetings.

The NPA concentrates primarily on theoretical problems, aiming to reveal the many irrational and subjective features of contemporary physics and cosmology, and to replace them with ideas characterized by valid logic and a conviction that genuine science must deal with objective reality. But in addition, many of our members have serious interests in various areas of applied science, particularly in the area of new energy technology.

We seek amicable relations with the physicists, astronomers, philosophers, etc. now in power, but we do not bow meekly to the harsh intolerance they often display towards us.

Because of such widespread and relentless intolerance, the NPA is unable to obtain funding from the usual agencies. Therefore we must pay all ordinary expenses by receipt of dues, and also from occasional individual donations. We attempt to distribute the responsibility of making dues payments equitably, by allowing significantly reduced dues to those of lower-than-average income--often the result of establishment intolerance.

Our dues year approximately coincides with the academic year: it begins and ends on 1 October . Those who join in the last half of a dues year and do not read a paper at an NPA meeting in that year will have their memberships extended through the next dues year.

Our dues structure , listed in U.S. dollars, is as follows:

  • Regular Member (R): yearly dues, $30. Those of low income may pay less
  • Donations of any other amounts are also very welcome
